Anesthetist

• Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for an Anesthetist to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti.
• This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, rotation cycle.
• The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility.
• All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services.
• Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services.
• All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures.
• Citizenship All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders.
• Sponsorship will not be available.

Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited medical school with a Degree of Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO). Completion of an approved, accredited residency training program in Critical Care based on specialty. Board Certification: Must hold board certification of specialty by the American Board of Medical Specialties or the American Osteopathic Association.

License

Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

Experience

Minimum of three (3) years of current experience, actively practicing in specialty (Anesthesiology), post-board certification.

Certification

• Current, valid certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Language
• Proficiency: Fluency in Haitian Creole and/or French is highly desired. A secondary language is preferred. This position will be a contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation.
