About the role

The Surgical Technician II will assist surgeons by preparing and maintaining instruments and procedural needs for surgical procedures. Responsibilities also include obtaining and returning supplies, maintaining a neat Central Sterile area, and reporting incidents to the Clinical Director.

We also offer Refractive Cataract and Standard Cataract surgery at our in-house ambulatory surgery center. In addition, we also offer other refractive correction procedures including LASIK and PRK.

Position Summary

We are currently hiring healthcare professionals who are passionate about customer service to join our Team as an Ophthalmic Medical Assistant. The Ophthalmic Medical Assistant will support a high-volume Ophthalmic practice that focuses on providing quality and compassionate care to patients in need of complete eye care services. Growth and Career Paths: The Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant role is more than a job, it is truly a career. In time you may become a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA), Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), Ophthalmic Scribe Certified (OSC) and Certified Ophthalmic Medical Technologist (COMT). We encourage and support these certifications and provide assistance with the certification process. Additional monetary incentives are awarded upon attainment. Responsibilities

This position requires customer service skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a degree of independent decision-making. Ophthalmic skills (upon completion of training) include but are not limited to: Obtaining and documenting patient history Determining visual acuity Performing automated refraction Administering eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions to the eye as ordered by the physician Performing office duties and clinical tasks - entering data into EMR Providing patient services Maintaining equipment and instruments
