About the role

Provide direct service and support within a 24/7 crisis stabilization program for individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include engaging clients, maintaining a safe environment, and facilitating data sharing for partnered decision-making.

Job definition

The Behavioral Health Technician to provide direct service and support as part of a multi-disciplinary team working within a 24-hour, 7 day a week, 365 crisis stabilization program assessing Mental Health and Substance Use Disorders.

Educational

REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

REQUIRED: Six months of related experience required; experience in an acute, psychiatric setting preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities

Greet and engage with incoming clients. Assist clients around the ICSC including directing them to the locker rooms, assisting with and laundry. Help clients participate in recreational activities. Provide a clean, safe, and comfortable environment by assisting in cleanup after client's treatment rooms and recreational areas. Ensure the health and safety of staff and clients in emergency situations. Assess situations to determine importance, urgency/risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization. Facilitate sharing of data with the individuals to whom it applies to facilitate partnered decision-making and to keep clients informed of progress Complete QI Training during onboarding and participate in QI refresher training as needed. Ability to cultivate a culture of inclusion for all employees that respects their individual strengths, views and experiences. Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. Demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety guidelines. Health and Safety Awareness: Include any relevant knowledge or experience regarding health and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment for all employees. Other duties as assigned.
