Key responsibilities include administering or ordering diagnostic tests, compiling patient medical data, interpreting results, and performing various therapeutic procedures like injections, suturing, and wound care. The physician will also make provisional diagnoses, decide on patient management and treatment, and counsel patients on prescribed regimens and health maintenance.
Candidates must hold an MD or DO degree and possess two to three years of experience, preferably in a Pediatric Urgent Care or Pediatric Emergency Department setting. Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics or Pediatric Emergency Medicine is required, along with current unrestricted Pennsylvania/Delaware licensure and DEA.
