The Mental Health Associate provides continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients. They also assist with group activities and milieu management under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field. Two or more years of related experience in psychiatric patient care techniques are preferred.
Activities of daily living (ADLs) experience preferred. Highschool diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor Degree in psychology, social work, or related field preferred. Two (2) or more years of related experience, with knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness in lieu of a Bachelor's degree. Successful completion of CPR and CPI that is provided during orientation. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours.
