Responsible for a variety of clerical duties in the Clinical Laboratory. Logs in specimens, processes specimens for reference labs, charts, files, answers telephone, and picks up and delivers specimens. Performs phlebotomy on outpatients (first shift only). Works under close supervision; receives direction regarding tasks to be completed and priorities.
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of human development and the ability to work with patients of all ages is also necessary.
