The General Cardiologist will provide outpatient services and collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals. The role emphasizes patient care and community service while utilizing advanced technology.

The New Mexico Heart Institute seeks a board-certified (or board-eligible) General Cardiologist to provide services at a conveniently located facility in the picturesque city of Santa Fe, NM.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, willing to educate others, and amenable to working within a PSA while employed by another group.

Position Highlights: Full-Time Employment (1.0 FTE) Outpatient Only Single-Specialty Group: New Mexico Heart Institute/Lovelace Medical Group Join a team of 10 Physicians, 2 NPs, and support staff On-Site Echo, Vascular, Nuclear, and CT Schedule: Mon-Fri (No Weekends Required) Daily Patient Load: Clinic 22 No Call Smart Technology: See more patients without extending your day.

Our providers use Epic EMR and Ambience AI scribe technology to automate documentation, reduce administrative burden, improve patient flow, and ensure accurate coding—leading to better work-life balance and revenue.

Requirements

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in General Cardiology and fellowship-trained. The position is open to both experienced physicians and new graduates with ties to New Mexico.
