Position summary

• Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services, the Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department has an indirect reporting relationship to the C.N.O.
• Daily activities are coordinated through Imaging Manager/Supervisor.
• The major goal of the Radiology Nurse is to provide quality nursing care to the patient in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
• Skills utilized in his/her job performance include assessment, communication, education, leadership, and patient monitoring/management.
• The nurse insures patient privacy and dignity.
• Areas where the nurse will function are: General diagnostic, IR procedures, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and mammography.
• On-call will be required as needed.
