The Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department provides quality nursing care to patients undergoing various imaging procedures. Responsibilities include patient assessment, communication, education, and ensuring patient privacy and dignity.

Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services, the Registered Nurse in the Diagnostic Imaging Department has an indirect reporting relationship to the C.N.O.
Daily activities are coordinated through Imaging Manager/Supervisor.
The major goal of the Radiology Nurse is to provide quality nursing care to the patient in the Diagnostic Imaging Department.
Skills utilized in his/her job performance include assessment, communication, education, leadership, and patient monitoring/management.
The nurse insures patient privacy and dignity.
Areas where the nurse will function are: General diagnostic, IR procedures, nuclear medicine, ultrasound, computerized tomography, magnetic resonance imaging and mammography.
On-call will be required as needed.

Candidates must have an Associate degree or equivalent and a valid State of California RN license, along with certifications in Basic Dysrhythmia, BLS, and ACLS. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience is required.
