The Patient Placement Counselor conducts assessments to determine appropriate levels of care and diagnoses for applicants seeking addiction treatment. They manage the pre-admission process by providing education, coordinating with clinical teams, and ensuring accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
Candidates must hold at least a Bachelor's degree in addiction counseling or a related field and possess a valid LADC license in Minnesota. A minimum of two years of experience in alcohol and drug counseling and one year of experience in clinical assessments is required.
LMHC, LMFC, LCSW, LPC, LPCC or related field licensure Minimum 2 yrs experience providing alcohol and drug counseling (supervised internship applies) Minimum 1 yr experience assessments for all levels of care
