About the role

The Clinic Nurse provides professional nursing services in an outpatient setting, including patient assessments, triage, and education. They collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver quality care while ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

The Clinic Nurse (RN) provides professional nursing services to patients in an outpatient setting.

This role performs nursing assessments in providing direct and indirect patient care, provides health advice, patient and family education, and may handle phone triage.

Provides detailed evaluation of patient symptoms to determine urgency of situation, facilitates next steps in patient care, and provides medical advice on treating symptoms.

Utilizes the nursing process based on research and evidence-based outcomes to meet patient care needs.

Administers medications, collects specimen, and performs nursing procedures within scope of practice.

Documents all nursing services provided.

Collaborates with other members of the health care team to ensure the delivery of quality patient care and when facing ethical or legal issues.

Facilitates appropriate utilization of healthcare resources.

Enhances the patient experience.

Provides services in compliance with all applicable regulatory and professional standards, including the California Nurse Practice Act.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Candidates must have completed a nursing program and hold a current Registered Nurse license in California. Additionally, a BLS certification and Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring certification are required.
