The Certified Nursing Assistant provides compassionate care by assisting patients with daily hygiene, feeding, and mobility needs. They also maintain unit cleanliness and assist with the transport of patients to various treatment areas.
Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair Participate in hourly rounds Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed Performs other duties as assigned
High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years) BLS is required within 90 days of hire CNA licensure from the state registry Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
