The Medical Assistant facilitates patient visits by preparing exam rooms, obtaining vital signs, and performing clinical procedures such as EKGs and laboratory tests. They also manage patient flow, document care in the EPIC EMR system, and handle referrals and medication refills.
Applicants must hold a certificate from a recognized medical assisting program or a high school diploma with one year of relevant experience. Medical Assistant certification is required within six months of hire.
