The Patient Care Assistant provides direct and indirect non-professional nursing care under medical supervision. Responsibilities include monitoring vital signs, collecting lab specimens, assisting with daily living activities, and managing clerical and supply tasks.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma and either a Medical Assistant degree, a West Virginia C.N.A. license, or a PCT certification. Applicants are also required to pass a medical terminology exam with a score of 80% or higher.
Cabell Huntington Hospital is seeking a full-time Patient Care Assistant to work with our team in the 2 South Med Surg Department.
To be considered, candidates must provide documentation of an 80% or higher score on the Medical Terminology exam, and proof of satisfactory completion of a Medical Assistant degree or Certified Nurses Aide certification.
