The technologist must demonstrate competency in operating all assigned radiographic equipment, preparing patients, and producing diagnostic radiographs according to department standards. They will also perform basic patient care protocols and assist in emergency situations under the direction of radiologists.
Candidates must have satisfactory completion of an accredited program, be certified by ARRT, and hold a Florida Licensed Radiology Technologist certification, along with a High School or GED. A minimum of 3 years (6,240 hours) of continuous experience in x-ray, DEXA, and Fluoroscopy within the last 6 years is required.
Required Education and Experience - Satisfactory completion accredited program. Certified by ARRT. High School or GED required. FL Licensed Radiology Technologist. CPR Certification within 90 days of employment.
