Provide high-acuity respiratory care and critical interventions for complex pediatric patients in collaboration with physicians and nurses. Responsibilities include operating mechanical ventilators, performing pulmonary function tests, and mentoring trainees.
Requires graduation from a CoARC approved program and RRT certification from the NBRC. Must possess a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license and BLS/CPR certification.
Graduate of a Co ARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program required Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) required Respiratory therapists who receive their RRT credential from the NBRC after July 1, 2002 are required to maintain certification under the NBRC requirements Licensure, Certifications and Clearances: BLS or CPR required Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) Osteopathic Respiratory Care OR Respiratory Care Practitioners (RCP) Clearances with renewal: Act 31, 33, 34, & 73 UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran
