• Job Title: Transplant Technologist - Tissue Typing Lab Department: University Hospital | Tissue Typing SCOPE OF POSITION ABHI certified technologist performing histocompatibility testing and interpreting results in Tissue Typing Laboratory.
• POSITION SUMMARY The incumbent will perform comprehensive clinical histocompatibility testing.
• To ensure the highest standards of result interpretation and quality control, candidates must obtain CHT (ABHI) certification at the Technologist level within 24 months of hire.
• This role requires participation in a 24-hour on-call rotation, covering approximately 20–25% of the monthly schedule.
• JOB REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in a life science, knowledge of standard immunological lab techniques, or knowledge of histocompatibility and/or 2 years of lab experience is preferred.
• Experience in PCR-molecular technology helpful.
• Demonstrable organizational skills, and ability to multi-task absolutely essential.
• CHT (ABHI) certification required within 2 years of hire.
