The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for administering respiratory care and managing patient care on mechanical ventilators and other respiratory equipment. They also serve as a technical resource for physicians and healthcare staff regarding current respiratory practices.
Candidates must hold an Associate's degree from an accredited school of Respiratory Care and possess a current Connecticut Respiratory Care Practitioner license. Registration or certification by the NBRC as an RRT or CRT is required.
