Genitourinary Oncology Advanced Practice Provider

• Overview The Dartmouth Cancer Center at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH, and the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth are seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with a strong interest or background in Genitourinary (GU) Oncology.
• This advanced practice provider will work collaboratively within the Section of Medical Oncology to deliver high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based, and patient-centered care at our Lebanon, New Hampshire clinic.
• The role will focus on managing patients with GU malignancies, while also supporting broader oncology care needs as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• What we are seeking: An experienced nurse practitioner or physician assistant with experience in oncology, or a new graduate with experience as an oncology RN.
• A collaborative team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• An autonomous advanced practice provider with clinical expertise and organizational skills who enjoys working in a generalist role with a wide variety of cancer patients.
• Provide care to individuals and their families from diagnosis through end-of-life including identification and treatment of acute and late effects of therapy.
• Performs procedures as required for patient assessment.
• Work closely with the clinic nurses and provider staff assisting in coordination of care for patients under treatment and management of acute therapy side effects.
• Works with clinic nursing staff to triage patient telephone calls and provide recommendations.
• Fully integrate into section functions including multidisciplinary case conferences [tumor boards], faculty meetings, research and quality improvement projects when applicable.
• Actively participate in the Advanced Practice Provider team of the Dartmouth Cancer Center through attendance of monthly team meetings, journal club, biannual peer review process and annual retreat as appropriate.
• Prepares for, participates in and attends required conferences, meetings and committees as requested.
• Participates in clinical research, relevant to the medical oncology patient population, providing clinical care and follow-up assessments as required by protocol.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA academic program National specialty certification as FNP, PNP, Acute or Primary Care A-GNP, WHNP or certification through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Required Licensure/Certifications Eligible for RN licensure in the State of NH (APRN only) Eligible for APRN or PA licensure in the State of NH Eligible for Federal DEA Registration BLS certification
