Responsible for providing general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses, and medical staff in an overnight internal medicine setting. Duties include participating in pharmacotherapy consults, monitoring medication use, and processing medication orders.
JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision and according to established polices and procedures, responsible for accurate and efficient practice of pharmacy, including general clinical pharmacy services to patients, nurses and medical staff.
Participates in Pharmacotherapy Consult service, staff development and education, and targeted drug programs.
Assesses the age-specific needs of patients served while monitoring patient medication use and processing medication orders.
Able to perform all of the duties of a registered Pharmacist.
Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital.
This is an overnight internal medicine position.
The schedule is 7 on/ 7 off
B.S. degree in Pharmacy with residency or Pharm D degree from accredited College of Pharmacy. Pharmacy Practice Residency or equivalent training/experience. Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Florida. One-year prior experience in a hospital, or related experience with clinical pharmacy.
