Job description

The Senior MCC BMT Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients at\nthe Mays Cancer Center. Provides nursing care to immunocompromised patients with\ncomplex needs, including hematology stem cell transplant and cellular therapy\npatients across the adult and geriatric spectrum in the outpatient setting.\nDemonstrate competency across the continuum of malignant hematology and stem\ncell transplantation. Deliver high-quality care across all domains of practice\nwhen caring for patients receiving cellular therapies. Develop and implement an\nindividualized plan for utilizing the nursing process, including assessment,\ndiagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Ensures enhanced patient\noutcomes through effective communication, collaboration, mentorship, and\neffective delegation in the exercise of his/her independent judgment. May lead\nor mentor lower level team members. Assesses the unit's needs related to\npractice and improvement opportunities.
