A busy acute-care facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Patient Care Technician to join its nursing support team.
In this role, you will provide hands-on support to patients, assist the clinical team, and help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and positioning to support procedures and recovery.
Provide basic, non-medicated patient care such as hygiene support, dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly.
Keep patient rooms, hallways, and common areas clean, organized, and well-stocked.
Manage supplies, equipment, and environmental logs to support infection control and safety.
Communicate respectfully and clearly with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
High school diploma or GED required. MediClear Certification (or equivalent HIPAA compliance certificate) required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/BLS) – or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire. Previous experience as a Patient Care Technician, Nursing Assistant, or similar direct patient care role preferred. Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-centered, team-oriented mindset. Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment and manage multiple priorities.
