The MRI Technologist performs high-quality diagnostic MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety and following established protocols. Responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, positioning patients, administering contrast, and maintaining equipment quality control.
This position is accountable for performing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures which produce high quality of diagnostic digital exams. Works on a level not requiring constant supervision while demonstrating basic MRI skills and following protocols established for a various age groups of patients. Performs a variety of general technical (IV skilled) MRI procedures that will require judgement and initiative for radiological diagnosis. Assumes responsibility for designated area or procedures as required.
Candidates must hold a high school diploma, a 2-year radiologic technology degree, and current Florida State and ARRT or ARMRIT certifications. Proficiency in MRI protocols, IV administration, and basic life support is required.
