The Certified Nursing Assistant provides personal care and support services to hospice patients to enhance their comfort and quality of life. They are responsible for observing, reporting, and documenting the patient's condition while working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old, hold a high school diploma or equivalent, and be a registered State Nurse Aide in Kentucky. A valid driver's license and insured vehicle are required, with one year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting preferred.

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is an essential member of the hospice care team who works under the supervisor of a Registered Nurse (RN). This role provides personal care and support services to meet the patient’s daily needs, enhance comfort, and maintain a safe environment. The CNA is also responsible for observing the patient’s condition and accurately reporting and documenting observations and the services provided. Position Qualifications: · At least 18 years of age and a high school graduate or equivalent. · Currently registered as a State Nurse Aide with the Kentucky Board of Nursing. · Completion of a recognized Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) training program. · One year of experience in a hospital or nursing home setting, preferred. · Ability to read, understand, and follow written instructions, and accurately document care provided. · Self-directed with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. · Demonstrates empathy for individuals who are ill, frail, or impaired, and understands the philosophy of hospice care and the needs of the terminally ill. · Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working order, that is insured in accordance with state minimum requirements.
