Overview

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Orthopedic Technician for the Neuro Intermediate Care unit. This is a Part Time, Day Shift Weekends Only position.

Hours

7:00am to 3:00pm - Saturday and Sunday (16 hours per week).

Department Overview

Join our 36-bed Neuro Intermediate Care Unit! This Neuro Intermediate Care unit provides neuro care for stroke, seizure/epilepsy, craniology, neck and back surgery patients and more. Join this fast-paced, team-driven unit to learn new skills and provide care to a specialized population of patients!

Under direct supervision of clinical staff and therapists, the Orthopedic Technician is responsible for preparing/cleaning treatment areas, positioning patients, procurement and inventory of supplies and transporting patients. Supporting both clerical and clinical staff in successful provision of treatment plans.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)

Experience

• One year of acute care, care partner, healthcare, or patient care work experience (Preferred)

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, located in Norfolk, VA, is a 525-bed tertiary care facility that is home to the only Level I Adult Trauma Center and burn trauma unit in Hampton Roads, and also serves as the primary teaching hospital for Eastern Virginia Medical School.
