The Certified Medical Assistant assists nursing staff and providers with direct patient care and clinical duties. Responsibilities include returning patient phone calls, assisting with exams, and performing special procedures according to clinic policies.
Candidates must hold a current Board of Certified Medical Assistants licensure. A BLS certification is required within 14 days of hire, and one year of experience in a medical office or hospital is preferred.
Working under the supervision of the physicians and Clinic Supervisor, the Certified Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting nursing staff and providers with patient care and other duties associated with efficient running of the clinic. Phone calls are returned. Physicians are assisted with exams. Special procedures are administered according to clinic policies.
