The nurse provides direct clinical care, administers medications, and performs medical procedures for adolescent students. They are also responsible for maintaining health compliance, documentation, and supporting the multidisciplinary team.
Candidates must hold a current Missouri or compact state LPN or RN license and possess a BLS Healthcare Provider certification. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and able to pass a criminal background check.
Provide direct nursing care following Calo standards and SOPs. Administer medications safely and accurately. Triage and treat illnesses and injuries within scope of practice. Follow infection control protocols and respond to infectious diseases. Complete all documentation in BestNotes by end of shift. Perform waived testing, phlebotomy, and basic nursing procedures. Process physician orders and maintain student health compliance. Support and guide unlicensed nursing staff. Maintain healthy boundaries and positive relationships with students and staff.
At least 21 years of age Ability to pass criminal background check Free of communicable disease, other evidence of ill health, or a condition which adversely affects ability to care for or poses a threat to children Experience – Psychiatric or residential nursing experience preferred. Education – Current Missouri or compact state license (in good standing as an LPN or RN. Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
