This Per Diem position involves performing routine technical and clerical functions, including venipuncture, specimen handling, and potentially conducting CLIA waived laboratory tests. The role also requires fulfilling all Hospital Incident Command System (HICS) responsibilities during facility emergencies or disasters.
The minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or Equivalent, with a preference for completion of a Phlebotomy Program. Candidates must be able to complete blood draws independently within six weeks of hire, and six months of laboratory experience is preferred.
Performs routine technical and clerical functions. Performs venipuncture, specimen receipt and distribution of laboratory specimens; may perform CLIA waived laboratory tests. Performs and fulfills all HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency disaster.
