The Nocturnist Physician Assistant provides direct patient care during overnight hours, including admissions, cross-coverage, and urgent clinical management. They collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes while documenting all care activities in accordance with regulatory standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Physician Assistant program and hold current Texas licensure and NCCPA certification. Essential certifications include BLS and ACLS, with a focus on clinical competency in inpatient or acute care settings.
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program Current licensure as a Physician Assistant in the state of Texas Certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Prescriptive authority and DEA (as applicable) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire
Experience in inpatient medicine, hospitalist, or acute care settings Prior nocturnist or night shift experience
