The registered nurse is responsible for implementing the nursing process, including assessing patient clinical status and developing care plans. They also ensure the effective implementation and evaluation of these care plans while maintaining clear communication regarding patient care.

A registered nurse implements the nursing process for each patient/resident (pediatric to geriatrics depending on scope of care in the nursing department in which he/she works) assigned to his/her care.
Associate’s degree in nursing required.
Active Kentucky RN License.
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
