In Maine, allied-health laboratory roles often draw steady demand from hospitals and regional health systems that need experienced staff for core diagnostic work. These positions are competitive because employers typically want a bachelor’s degree, national Medical Technologist certification, recent hands-on lab experience, and the ability to clear a government background investigation.
