About the role

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals while monitoring patient health and treatment progress. They will serve as a multi-disciplinary team member to maintain a safe environment through observation rounds and group facilitation.

What you’ll do at COBH

  • · Provide medication, education, and empowerment to individuals. · Observe, evaluate, and record patient behavior, condition, and response to medication. · Monitor patient health including vital signs, treatment plan progress, and activity participation. · Serve in a fundamental role as a multi-disciplinary team member that creates a safe and positive environment through safety and observation rounds and group facilitation. 2nd shift available, weekend rotations. These positions receive a minimum of 17 weekends off per year per the OCSEA union contract. Must be able to complete a 4-week training/orientation. May work weekends and holidays; may be exposed to communicable diseases and unpredictable patient behavior. This is an hourly position covered by the OCSEA/AFSCME bargaining unit (union), with a pay range of 10 on the OCSEA Pay Range Schedule. This position is located at COBH at 2200 W. Broad St. Columbus, OH 43223. Unless required by any applicable union contract and/or requirements of the Ohio Revised Code, the selected candidate will begin at Step 1 of the pay range schedule listed above, with an opportunity for pay increase after six months of satisfactory performance and then a yearly raise thereafter.

Position Qualifications

License to practice nursing as a licensed practical nurse issued by Ohio Board of Nursing pursuant to Section 4723 Ohio Revised Code & proof of completion of an approved course in medication administration.

Note

  • Licensed Practical Nurses who administer dialysis treatment must possess Certification in IV Therapy pursuant to Section 4723.17 Ohio Revised Code.

Requirements
