Minimum Qualifications

  • Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) by a recognized certifying body such as ASCP or AMT.
  • At least one year of experience working in a clinical laboratory setting performing diagnostic testing.
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Ability to accurately perform and interpret complex laboratory tests with attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced certification or specialization in areas such as microbiology, hematology, or molecular diagnostics.
  • Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR) integration.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems and participation in proficiency testing programs.
  • Previous experience working in a hospital or high-volume clinical laboratory environment.
  • Graduate coursework or continuing education in emerging diagnostic technologies and laboratory management.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests on blood, tissue, and other body fluids using automated and manual techniques.
