The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing respiratory care for a designated group of patients. They must also manage unit equipment and promote effective teamwork within the healthcare environment.
Candidates must hold an Associate of Science degree or higher and possess a current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Missouri. Additionally, registration with the National Board of Respiratory Care is required.
Performs the primary functions of a Registered Respiratory Therapist in assessing, planning, implementing, educating, and evaluating a designated group of patients in accordance with established Respiratory Care Standards, Hospital and Departmental Policies. Responsible for managing all assigned supplies and equipment on the unit. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values.
