The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for verifying medication orders and participating in multidisciplinary bedside rounds. They also lead clinical services, perform drug utilization reviews, and mentor staff to ensure accurate clinical documentation.
Candidates must possess knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws, FDA regulations, and pharmacology. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required to provide reliable and safe patient care.
The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist - Bone Marrow Transplant is responsible for demonstrating proficiency in all pharmacist functions, such as interpreting, transcribing, or verifying medication orders. Attend and actively participate in daily multidisciplinary and bedside rounds, complete drug utilization reviews to promote rational drug therapy, lead and develop clinical services, and mentor and educate staff to ensure accurate and appropriate documentation of clinical activities as needed.
