The Patient Care Assistant provides essential service to patients by assisting with personal needs and activities of daily living. They also support the clinical team with data collection, patient logistics, and maintaining a safe environment.
This is a Full-Time (72 hours per pay period, every 2 weeks) with a 12-hour DAY shift, on variable days of the week including holidays and weekends.
Located at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla.

The Patient Care Assistant (PCA) provides excellent service to patients as a key member of the clinical care team.
Assists patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, collects data, and ensures the patient has a safe, organized environment.
Assists with patient care within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician.
Supports the unit with a variety of patient logistic, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties.
Candidates must have a BLS certification and either one year of healthcare experience, completion of Nursing Assistant training, or be enrolled in an RN program. CNA certification and one year of patient-related experience are preferred.
