The MRI Operator provides hands-on support at the imaging site by preparing patients, managing equipment, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. They also perform venipuncture and assist remote technologists during the scanning process.

Are you a Rad Tech looking for a change of pace without leaving the field you love? If you’re tired of the high-pressure "button pushing" grind but want to stay at the forefront of MRI technology, this is the role for you. We are looking for a Virtual MRI Onsite Operator to be our "boots on the ground" partner for our Remote Steering Technologists. You’ll manage the suite, own the patient experience, and ensure safety, while our remote experts handle the complex software steering.

  • Schedule: Enjoy a stable Monday–Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm shift.
  • What you’ll do: You are the "co-pilot" in the room. While a remote technologist steers the scan from afar, you are the essential onsite expert who: Prepares and screens patients, ensuring they feel safe and comfortable in the MRI environment. Sets up the suite, positions coils, and manages the patient table. Performs venipuncture and administers IV contrast (we’ll help you get credentialed!). Acts as the onsite Safety Officer for MRI Zones 3 & 4. Collaborates via headset with the remote team to troubleshoot and ensure high-quality imaging.

  • Certification: You’re a graduate of an AMA-approved school with a valid state license.

Experience

  • Diagnostic radiology or another imaging modality.

  • Interest: Prior MRI exposure or safety training is a huge plus, but we’re ready to train the right person.

  • Requirements: This is an active role. You’ll need the ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs and assist with patient positioning and suite turnover. Requirements

Candidates must be graduates of an AMA-approved School of Radiology Technology with at least 12 months of experience. ARRT certification, a valid state license, and BLS certification are required.
