The Nurse Practitioner performs routine clinical duties and develops treatment plans under the supervision of a physician. They are responsible for delivering high-quality, compassionate care within the medical center's established standards.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited nursing school and have successfully completed an approved Nurse Practitioner program. A minimum of three years of professional nursing experience and current North Carolina licensure are required.
The Nurse Practitioner is authorized to perform specific routine duties on a regular, repetitive basis. These duties may be performed without specific prior discussion with the supervising physician. The supervising physician or his/her alternate will be on site for review of findings and plan of treatment.
