About the role

The veterinary technician will serve as a clinical leader responsible for anesthesia, patient monitoring, and performing diagnostic procedures like radiology and venipuncture. They will also act as a medical decision-support partner to the DVM and assist in refining clinical processes.

This Is Not a Traditional Technician Role

What Makes This Role Different

Each shift, you are a key clinical pillar.

You

Lead anesthesia and patient monitoring Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters confidently Initiate and manage fluid therapy Execute radiology safely and efficiently Monitor hospitalized patients and escalate concerns Educate clients clearly and compassionately Support surgical flow and sterile technique Help refine clinical processes and standards You are empowered to practice to the full extent of your training and registration.

What We’re Looking For

Experienced Veterinary Technicians Minimum 1–2 years of direct patient care experience preferred Strong anesthesia, catheter placement, and diagnostic support skills Confidence in urgent or high-pressure situations Excellent client communication A teammate who takes initiative and thinks critically Evening/weekend/holiday availability required (we believe in fair rotation) Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a clinical environment, including bending, standing, stooping, kneeling, moving from room to room, and sitting; may be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time Most importantly: someone who believes their role impacts the success of the entire hospital.

The Essentials $18-$22/hour (based on experience, and involvement with the bigger picture) This is a casual position to start; hours scheduled as needed Possibility to grow with the company as our business continues to evolve Great for someone looking for a side gig; shifts starting at 4pm Mon-Fri and 12pm on Sat/Sun

Requirements

Candidates should have 1–2 years of direct patient care experience and strong skills in anesthesia and catheter placement. The role requires the ability to work in high-pressure situations and maintain availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
