Perform radiographic procedures and patient intake while operating imaging equipment proficiently. Collaborate with providers to determine necessary imaging and guide patients safely through the process.
Requires completion of a formal Radiography program and licensure from IEMA and ARRT (or eligibility). BLS certification and proficiency in Microsoft software are also required.

The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist I performs radiographic procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Is responsible for performing technical procedures that may require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. They perform patient intake by collecting medical history and must be able to answer patient questions regarding the imaging procedure. They follow specific instructions from providers on what areas to image and guide patients through the imaging process safely and comfortably. They operate imaging equipment proficiently, have a firm understanding of the anatomy and physiology of the human body, demonstrate knowledge of proper imaging techniques in all patient populations and may confer with Providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine whether additional images are required.
