The STNA provides direct resident care, including assistance with daily living activities, mobility, and restorative care under the supervision of nursing staff. They are also responsible for accurately documenting vital signs and maintaining a safe, clean environment for residents.
The role requires a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification to perform clinical support duties. Candidates must be capable of performing physical tasks such as lifting and turning residents while adhering to facility policies and universal precautions.

A STNA, under the supervision and/or direction of a RN or LPN performs various duties assisting the staff nurses in the treatment and optimal safe care of residents in accordance with the established methods, policies, and procedures of Fisher-Titus Medical Center and Norwalk Memorial Home.
