Providers manage a broad range of acute conditions including respiratory infections, minor fractures, and lacerations in a fast-paced urgent care setting. They work collaboratively with a support team to deliver high-quality care across multiple regional sites.
Candidates must be graduates of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program and hold appropriate state licensure. A minimum of three years of clinical experience is preferred, along with current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
Must demonstrate and maintain all credentialing and licensing requirements of Carilion Clinic, the Virginia Board of Medicine or the Virginia Board of Nursing, and appropriate certifying bodies. Capable of meeting credentialing or job function requirements as needed based on the requirements of the practice and of managed care payors and insurers. Qualifies for malpractice insurance and is accepted by Carilion Clinic’s malpractice insurance carrier. Able to work collaboratively with physicians and other health care providers. Demonstrates good written and oral communication skills. Computer literacy required for automated computer systems, including electronic medical records.
