The Registered Nurse provides nursing services to the medical unit, including medication evaluation, prescription management, and therapy sessions. They also participate in interdisciplinary treatment planning and provide crisis intervention consultation to the team.
Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, obtains samples, sometimes may provide individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Education and/or Experience: RN: Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications
