Provides nursing services to the medical unit, including medication evaluation, prescription management, and clinical documentation. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning and provides crisis intervention consultation to the team.
Provides medication evaluation, medication checks, calls in prescriptions, obtains samples, sometimes may provide individual, group and family therapy and subsequent paperwork. Participates in interdisciplinary treatment planning, case support activities Provides crisis intervention consultation to all members of the team Participates in peer review process for therapists All other duties as assigned by supervisor Special Attributes: Strong psychosocial, clinical assessment skills. Minimal supervision regarding use of time, able to prioritize work assignments. Ability to communicate effectively with professions and clients/families. Ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations. Education and/or Experience: RN: Graduation from a four-year state accredited school of nursing and one year of experience in psychiatric nursing; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Qualifications
