The Certified Veterinary Technician assists veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and medical procedures while administering medications and monitoring patient progress. They also maintain medical records, provide client education, and manage medical supplies.
Candidates must have certification as a Veterinary Technician and current state licensure. A strong knowledge of veterinary terminology and the ability to handle animals compassionately are also required.
