Overview JOB SUMMARY The role encompasses the management of the cardiac catheterization lab patient through implementation of the nursing process, supervision of licensed and unlicensed personnel, and coordination of interdisciplinary care.
Education: See License and Certification Experience: One year experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or two years experience in a critical care area. Knowledge and Skills: Able to work in a fast-paced environment; manage/prioritize/delegate patient care, and complete work assignments and other duties as assigned. Able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing. License/Certifications: Current nursing license, state of California, American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS, Basic EKG course or passing of 80% or greater on exam to be completed within orientation period. One year experience in a cardiac catheterization laboratory or two years experience in a critical care area and completion of a 12 Lead EKG class either prior to hire/transfer or within 12 months of hire.
Requires a valid California nursing license and AHA BLS & ACLS certifications. Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a cardiac cath lab or two years in a critical care area.
