The technician is responsible for receiving, processing, and analyzing laboratory specimens to ensure accurate and timely results. They also perform quality control, maintain laboratory equipment, and ensure proper patient identification to support optimal clinical outcomes.
Candidates must have at least two years of experience in a medical laboratory and be a graduate of an accredited MLT program. Additionally, they must hold or obtain state licensure and/or national certification within six months of hire.
Utilizes laboratory skills to perform and report results of clearly defined laboratory procedures assuring optimal patient outcomes. Responsible for assigned shifts and subject to overtime and call back as required. Performs other duties as assigned.
