The ER Technician administers patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse and follows established plans of care. They perform various direct and indirect duties to ensure smooth patient flow within the Emergency Department.
Candidates must hold a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and possess an EMT, CNA, or Medical Assistant certification, or be enrolled in an RN program. Additional requirements include obtaining Crisis Prevention and Intervention (CPI) and Basic dysrhythmia certifications within specified timeframes.
