The intern performs preparatory and scrubbing services in the operating room under the observation of surgical staff. They assist with surgical cases, maintain a sterile field, and ensure the safety and efficiency of the surgical environment.

We offer surgical tech intern positions to students who are in progress with an accredited Surgical Tech program. One completed clinical rotation may be required for consideration.
The Surgical Tech Intern position is one day per week. Day/shift can be flexible based on the site. We also like to put emphasis on placing ST Interns at the site they would like to stay at as a Surgical Tech post-graduation.
Some locations may conduct interviews now but not consider hiring until Fall.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) needs to be obtained within 6 months unless department leader has determined it is not required.
• Currently enrolled in an accredited or approved program in Surgical Technology.
• No experience required.
