Client Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to understand clients' strengths, needs, and challenges. Administer standardized assessment tools and utilize clinical judgment to evaluate mental health status and risk factors. Collaborate with clients to establish therapeutic goals and objectives based on assessment findings. Treatment Planning and Implementation: Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and interdisciplinary team members. Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions to address clients' mental health concerns and facilitate positive behavioral changes. Provide counseling and psychoeducation to clients and their families to enhance coping skills and resilience. Case Management and Coordination: Coordinate with external agencies, healthcare providers, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients. Advocate for clients' needs and rights within the healthcare system and social service networks. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes. Crisis Intervention and Support: Respond promptly to crises and emergencies, including suicidal ideation and homicidal ideation, domestic violence, and substance abuse issues. Provide crisis intervention services, including risk assessment, safety planning, and referral to appropriate crisis intervention resources. Collaborate with emergency services and law enforcement agencies as needed to ensure client safety and well-being. Comply with all legal documentation and agency policies associated with crisis intervention. Professional Development and Collaboration: Participate in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development activities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge. Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary team members, including psychologists, psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide integrated care for clients. Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice, including maintaining client confidentiality and upholding professional boundaries. QualificationsEducation: Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Active and unrestricted California license as an LMFT, LCSW, or LPCC or active AMFT, ACSW, or APCC registration.
Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and possess an active California license or registration (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, AMFT, ACSW, or APCC). A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an outpatient or community mental health setting is required.
