JOB LOCATION Duke Health Lake Norman Heart & Vascular- 131 Medical Park Rd #303, Mooresville, NC 28117 SCHEDULE 8a-5p Monday-Friday, with call coverage one weekend a month for the hospital JOB SUMMARY We are seeking a Cardiac Sonographer to join our academically focused and team-oriented echo lab at Duke Health Lake Norman Heart and Vascular Clinic.

As a member of our team, you’ll perform advanced cardiovascular imaging across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform a variety of echocardiographic procedures, including 2D, 3D, Doppler, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echos, and strain imaging in both routine and emergency settings.

Deliver services across ambulatory clinics, inpatient floors, ICU, and procedural areas.

Evaluate pathology following current ASE, ACC, and lab-specific guidelines.

Analyze patient medical records to obtain history and inform tailored imaging.

Operate and maintain advanced ultrasound equipment, report malfunctions, and perform preventive maintenance.

Prepare preliminary reports and compare with previous studies to assist interpretation by cardiologists.

Participate in quality improvement activities and IAC-Echo reaccreditation processes.

Educate and mentor students, nurses, fellows, and new staff as needed.

Attend required staff meetings and pursue ongoing professional development and continuing education.

JOB ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Education Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification or currently holds required registry or certification.

Experience Level I: Experience working as a Cardiac Sonographer required.

Level II: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.

Level III: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cardiac Sonographer.

Licensure and Certification ARDMS or CCI certification in Adult Echocardiography.

BLS certification (required).
